The Anders Wall Scholarship

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Yesterday was a great day, an awesome day, the day of days; Anders Wall‘s birthday and the price ceremony for the Anders Wall Scholarships. As you might know I was one of the scholars. At the ceremony I met A LOT of interesting people and I was treated like royalty! On top of this I almost nailed my speech of thanks. Good times indeed.

I am very honoured and thankful to Anders Wall for this opportunity I have been given. The scholarship is for 150 000 SEK + an internship at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in London for one year. I will be moving down in May. Really looking forward to! But I’m still looking for a place to stay.

Here’s a picture of me and the ten other scholars together with Anders.

Runner Up

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Yesterday did not go as planned. It was the Universum Awards at Berns in Stockholm, the winners of several students awards were announced. I had been nominated to and later reached the final in Business Student of the Year (“Årets ekonomistudent”), now it stood between me and Robert Ellerson from Jönköping International Business School. We had both met the jury (the CEO and CHRO of PwC and the CFO of Universum), the day before. The verdict came. Ellerson was the winner. Not my happiest moment. But hey, runner up is not bad. Later today I am going back to Zurich. Now I’m going to leave the hotel room and meet up with some friends. Ciao
