In Stockholm

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

I am finally back in Sweden. Due to adverse weather conditions my arrival got delayed more than 30 hours, and in the stress the airport staff forgot to unload and reload the baggage, so basically all I got with me was my computer and the clothes I was wearing. But, I got a solid 15 minutes of sleep on the plane so I was full of energy and in a good mood when I arrived at 6am to Stockholm. No need to rest, so I went straight to YEoS Venture Lab to work with my colleague Joakim on Campusbokhandeln‘s new strategy and new website. The day later ended with a Sandbox dinner with some old and new faces. It was my first Sandbox event in Sweden, very good organised by Gustav Borgefalk. We were 10 of us, an all with very interesting stories.

Now I am gonna a spend a few more hours at the lab and then go to my parents’ house in Nyköping. Good times.

Going to Sweden on Saturday

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

On Saturday I am flying home to Sweden to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with family and friends. Haven’t been home in a while now so I am really looking forward to. Best of all, Sweden is covered by a thick layer of snow, hope it stays that way.

The 2010 Ryder Cup

Monday, October 4th, 2010

This weekend my dad and youngest brother were honouring me a visit. Since my dad, and to some extent my brother, are crazy about golf we went to Wales to see the Ryder Cup. Europe vs USA. Ok this wasn’t spontaneous as it might sound, we booked the tickets months in advance. The course, the Celtic Manor, was packed, with 50,000 golf nerds squelching around in wellingtons in the mud. Apparently it rains 367 days per year in Wales, this was no exception. But luckily it stopped just before lunch. Anyways, all the great players were there and we got to see them really close, standing first next to the green on the 13th hole and then in between the green of the 16th and the tee of the 17th hole. And the atmosphere was amazing, especially since Europe kicked US buttocks by winning 5 out of 6 games that day. It must have been thanks to the frequent cheering in form of 50,000 Brittons trying to ‘sing’ “Europe”, a word the never used in a positive meaning before. Unfortunatly one were not allowed to take pictures at the course or even bring a mobile so I haven’t many pictures to show you. But the course was beautiful. To summarise: Great weekend.

Tallinn with Wallumni

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

I have four exciting days in front of me. Tomorrow I am flying to Stockholm to say I quick hello to my colleagues and friends at YEoS Venture Lab and then meet up with approx. 45 Wallumi’s and Mr Anders Wall himself at the harbour. From there we are suposed to take the night ferry to Tallinn for a three days study trip. The programme seems to be very intense. We are going to visit a lots of companies, the Finance Minister who apparently used to be Estonia’s Premier Minister, Sweden’s Ambassador to Estonia, and I am sure we will meet a lot of interesting people. Really looking forward to the trip.

Legendary Weekend in Stockholm

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

Now I am back in London after a short but amazing, even awesome legendary, weekend in Stockholm. (Sorry Backman for not posting this earlier. You should follow my Facebook updates as well). This Saturday we had our second epic party at YEoS Venture Lab. Approximately 180 people joined us for a allnighter with yours truly DJing, could it be anything other than a great success. Now I am looking forward to an exciting week at the chamber. Will step up my training even further. And I am looking forward to get to know my new neighbourhood since I have moved to Angel (Islington) in east London. Over and out.
