I have just signed up for Zurich Marathon 2011, and with “only” 288 days to go (until 17 April 2011) I went to the Nike Town London store at Oxford Circus and bought myself some new trainers. Will try them out later today for a 13 km run.

I am currently at Zurich Airport waiting for my flight to London. It has been a spectacular week in Switzerland where I attended the St. Gallen Symposium and visited dear friends of mine. Will tell more about it shortly. Tomorrow I am starting my new job at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in London. I am super-excited! Gotta go, thousands of emails to answer. Cheerio.
Yesterday did not go as planned. It was the Universum Awards at Berns in Stockholm, the winners of several students awards were announced. I had been nominated to and later reached the final in Business Student of the Year (“Årets ekonomistudent”), now it stood between me and Robert Ellerson from Jönköping International Business School. We had both met the jury (the CEO and CHRO of PwC and the CFO of Universum), the day before. The verdict came. Ellerson was the winner. Not my happiest moment. But hey, runner up is not bad. Later today I am going back to Zurich. Now I’m going to leave the hotel room and meet up with some friends. Ciao
